    2 new EK2 Additions

    Hi guys,

I want to introduce my two new cross.
    Both are marked
The 24 has a band. It is not present in the image.
The 76 is a nice patina. It occurred to me that the frame looks just like an S & L.
are others EK2 with the same S & L frame?

    Your opinion is desired

    BR J0hnny

Sorry for the bad pictures with bloody light

            Hi Scott:
It is the dreaded 'rust' !
The paint used back then not as good as today and will get very fine cracks or weak spots where moisture gets under the paint and a 'rust pimple' starts that interestingly can travel as a 'line' under the paint - creating these 'veins' . Early iron cores were plated to reduce this from happening . Labor and material cut backs eliminated this important manufacturing step in the making of cores - which made them quit vulnable to this type of rusting .

Thankyou for the explanation about the 'veins', I've been wondering what caused them.

Two awesome looking EK2's you've got there buddy.
