Funny, you mention that your 57 is marked 925. As I'm sure you
already know, that is the mark for British sterling. I've heard of some
of these marked that way. I wonder now, if some of these 57s' are
also made in England.
If I am to understand correctly, the early 57s were made in 800 silver
and also in silver plated nickel. The latter were not marked at all.
Some info. on these is in Gordons' new book but I'm sure more info.
