Would really appreciate if you could post some pix of his 1957 RK as well .

Sorry Mathijs I dont have pictures. But is was a good, nice and early 1957 piece not a bad repro. The son did not want to part from it. Together with all the very nice 1957 spangen and Wehrmacht "Gefechtsberichten" with some nice maps, plans etc.

However the wide RK band was attached to the 1957 KC, he managed to get it off and he handed me over the band.

Shame he did not want to part with the 57er RK ... I wonder if it were and S&L or Schickle piece .

thank you guys. I am very happy with this.

Here is a picture in which you can clearly see the CCC and the narrow/small KC band. Picture was shot when returning home at the end of the war (other badges are missing and couldnt be found in the grouping).
