another member has offered me this ek2 spange which is missing its pins.

would anyone know if this is a good one?

It's a good one from Ziemer & sohne or "big eye" spange.
Too bad about the prongs though

Agreed, and I would not pay to much for it for the missing prongs. I would look for a complete one and they are available on some dealers site. Jim
