Odd, soldered EK.....Opinions?

Hello, all.....

I'd like your learned opinions on this little Frankenstein of an EK.

It has obviously lost it's original pin, which was replaced (unsure when) by a glob of solder which once held a totally different type of pin.

The two halves are separating, nearly all the way around, except at the top (pictured)

It's a goofy looking EK, and I'm hoping for a bit more information or identification.

As always, your opinions and thoughts are welcome.

Looks like a K&Q. For me, too much abuse. If it was part of a grouping, okay, but as it is, too beat up. Unless it's real cheap.

Looks like a safety pin as is seen on field repaired EKI's and field converted EKII's was soldered to the back.... Perhaps done wartime but impossible to say. too bad the person attempted to solder the frame halves together when it split!
I am with Hank and would pass on this.

not a Frankenstein, just an original K&L that lost the original back set-up.

I also like it's character VERY much. I'm leaning toward it being a field repair, and it cost me next to nothing.
