    Opinions on an RK plz...

    Hi all,

Can i have you opinions on this RK plz? don't have any better pics atm but if you guys think it might be a good one i'll try to get some better shots from the cross.
    It's marked 3x with 800 (on front/back and loop) and it's a 3piece construction.

    Thx!

Thank you all for the information
If you don't mind me asking these extra questions...
-when you say post-war, what do you exactly mean? is it 1945-50 or even a later production?
-What value would you guys give this cross? It's being offered at 1000euro...
so it it worth this amount or... ?

Reason for these questions is that i've started a little EK collection since my dagger-collecting has come to a temporary stop and since i probably won't ever be able to afford a real RK i'm considering of adding a nice repro/postwar RK.

Thx again for the usefull info!

                .

                Hi

1000E seems way too much... and if he is selling it as wartime, then the seller is not to be trusted.

I say maybe up to 300E max... for one of these... if you really want it. But hard to value...

Postwar is from 1946 to 2011... but postwar is mostly used of items made not soo long after the war or else modern made, would be a better word. I dont know if these crosses have been dated. But would guess that Souval started in the 50s to remake awards, and make some extra... Souval did not make Knight crosses under the war.

Well I guess some of the buyers then, where vets that had lost there awards.... but also anyone else that of some reason liked to buy... think soon they where sold as real wartime to the early collectors of TR items.

The S&L B-frame postwar KCs are higher in value.
