    Bremer EK2 cores

Just checking for my files on how many cores one finds in Brehmer EK2s .

I found a regular core and a 'pesdestaled' core , I would think the pedestaled version is later and less common - is that so ??
First one unm regular core by Nick :

And pedestaled core by Rove :

Are these the only 2 types ?

Most of the pedestal variants I have seen are marked, I also think that they are the later versions, but IMO they are very common too

Any idea on purpose of the pedestal ? .... a repair or a new core just to raise the Swastika .... or just a different design ? On the Brehmer the core seams quit high to start with . A later war application by Brehmer - any others beside R#s ??
Just in comparison - some R3 EK2s which are very early have a pedestaled Swas as well .... so the design idea was already around and used . Some R3 cores are very , very low to start with and a few core types were used in R3s ... not necessary all from the same company .
First picture by Wik a very shallow core and below R3 pedestaled . Any other company with a pedestaled Swas ?
As a wild thought --> could the R3 or Brehmer company have been the supplier of the pedestaled core to each other ?

A very plausible thought Douglas !

I purchased this one the other day and it seems to have a pedestal
