    Hi,

Yes, it's a real book. Basically it's a very small format valuation guide/catalogue - sort of like Detlev's except it covers all variations of Imperial/Third Reich awards (only the German award names of course). HOWEVER, it is very poorly illustrated, with the obverses (almost ne reverses) of maybe 1 in 10 or 1 in 20 items pictured in small b&w images. I have an older copy and it comes in handy but I have never considered upgrading it.

Evaluate the item, not the story and not the seller's reputation!

At this years Max Manions had a large stall of items they auctioned one night at the host hotel.Seems they are well in with the johnsonn/Wittmann clan to be able to do this. These big Respectible dealers should be distancing themselves from Manions not ushering them in to major shows !

The ONLY way to beat Manions at their own game is to simply boycott the business en masse.....As a collecting community, just pass the word on that they are NO good ....IF nobody buys, they'll change or eventually crumble....just a matter of time....Bodes

Manions was once a great place to buy,and they were respected among the big names. They started to slowly go down hill around 1990 and never looked back.I sure miss the old catalogs. It is a sad thing to see this and the fake SS uniforms auctioned there.I think we are witnessing the death throws of a once great company struggling to keep its nose above water.
