S&L DKiG's are usually considered as post war pieces by collectors.

S&L DK's are, in fact, the subject of intense debate between collectors. After considering the little real information out there, I have formed the personal conclusion that at least some were legitimately made during the war. I can't tell for sure from these photos if the piece shown here is one of those or not, but I have doubts.

Unless you get it for a very, very low price let it be. I personally would never pay an amount even close to one which is proven.

The S&L DKs are subject to debate, no credible evidence of pre- May 1945 manufacture or awarding to exist as of today IMHO.

And that is (as Dietrich says) a matter of opinion.

Love to see the rest. At this point, it is the actual pin structure that looks just a little "off" to me, but that could be the photos, lighting, etc.

I agree with Dietrich here. I would not pay much for a S&L DK.
I would not pay more then the price of a repro...maybe later that would turn out to be a nice buy.
If not, then you havn't lost to many money.

I have been looking for one, but am afraid they may all be post war. I agree that the value is that of an excellent copy.

I'd gladly pay a "copy price" for this one just on these photos. If better photos of the pin look right, I'd pay more!
