I thought that this one was authentic as the hardware is what you would expect to see on this cross.

There are threads on this cross.

I asked George Stimson and Dietrich Maerz about the KVK L15 after they publish the new EK1 book. There where a new information about the L15. (See Post #55 and #56 in link below)

          See this thread here: http://dev.wehrmacht-awards.com/foru...vk1+L15&page=4

This does not make an L15 marked setup "wartime" IMHO. The piece was produced after the war (with partially original parts - the stamp is not original) not for actual awardees but for selling to ever so receptive US dealers (who knew what they were buying...).

They say that L15 marked EK1 and KVK1 are post war.

Pleas correct me if I´m misunderstanding things here

Never seen that thread or read the book. I know the cross mainly without the L/15 stamp. Nice to know.

I see that estand link have been removed now because the KVK1 was sold. I guess someone bought and I can´t remember who sold it

Edit: The username of seller is "The Dragon". I guess he and many other don´t know about the new info on L15.
