Deschler KVK 1st class w/swords in case

    Hello,
Picked this up yesterday, it is a MM'd 1 Deschler KVK1st class with swords, but it is in a KVK 1st class without swords case... any help would be appreciated, thanks.

I looked in the fakes data base, read through the Flock's catch and hinge post and have not seen anything to raise a red flag.. Is this an early or late war Deschler KVK ??
          Thanks for any help..

Like you said this KVK1 and case has been married together. I´m not a KVK1 expert but I have never seen hinge on a hingeplate on Deschler kvk1 before.

                Late war piece maybe?

Thanks, from the research I have done here on WAF I have seen the same style catch on some Deschler KVK's but not the hinge, looks period tho from the patina on and around it. I wish some of the KVK guys would chime in here...
                  Thanks.

Wow,,, I am puzzled at the lack of responses here, the cross looks good, the catch looks good, the only thing is the hinge is not a normal Deschler hinge...
                    .......

                      Hello
as seems there are no other examples of this hinge used by Deschler it could be a contemporary repair. Just a thought.

It's an original and possibly repaired variation, IMO.
