    Possibly Meybauer #7 still learning the cores so I may be way off.

                    Bernie,

                    Another great EK2 mount! I am looking for a 1939 version myself...but only seem to end up with 1914 single mounts!

                    Best

                      Why is it not a Meybauer EK2?
                      I do not understand. This year is the same as Meybauer.
                      How do you recognize it?

                        Hi Johnny,

                        You have asked a very good question. Maker 23 often used Meybauer cores (as this one) so the only
                        way to tell the difference between a 23 and a 7 is the frame.

                        Here below you see a maker 7 EK1 and a maker 23 EK2, both with Meybauer cores.

                        You can see that the shape of the frame is entirely different. The Meybauer frame looks like an S&L
                        shape, and the 23 looks like a Deumer shape.

                        This is the best way to differentiate between a 7 and a 23.

                        Best regards,

                          @streptile
                          Great execution of 7 and 23
                          I understand what is different the shape of the frame
