Dear Laurence
As a side effect of the big Floch L15 angst, many collectors thought this cross type is a fake. Unrightfully so. Your cross is textbook L15. The Floch fakes have the typical Floch reverse setup, which is similar, but still slightly different. Floch fakes do not have the hinge- and catchplates (catchplate almost invisible on your example).
I have seen exactly your L15 cross type in the possession of a German veteran, who did not have his common items exposed to visitors before who could have switched something. Also, the finish (deterioration included) of these crosses has not been successfully copied yet.Cheers, Frank

Hi Frank. Back from your trip . Thanks for your info. So why is the one plate invisible, did they drop a big glob of solder on it. Would the finish be a type of real silver plate or would it be something else. I am going to post another KVK2 w/ swords that is a totally different color, I will stick it in the other KVK2 thread I posted. Thanks again for your help
