Modified or repaired SB L/11 EK1 ?

Hi,

I had this one for sale few ago here and I received several questions on the anti rotating pin.

The only thing I know is it is untouched, period done but repaired ? improved ?
I ever supposed it was a repair but I can hardly imagine the pin was broken because on deumers those are strong & short...
Rest of the cross it in a top condition (full paint...)

any opinion ?

because of it's origin...


My doubt is that, is this a repair or maid for a special purpose ? If it is a repair (& the Deumer pin should be difficult to break), why not just soldering the pin instead of adding some sort or metal rod ????
