My first ek1/opinions needed :)

Just got this ek1 with LDO box

Box is salty & the cross matches the condition of the box

The pin is marked L/56

what are your opinions on this set and is this a rare maker??

Original L/56 in worn condition.

Case looks good too and seems correct for the cross (LDO mark, condition).

I say a nice set -- not a rare maker, but not common either
