    Car boot sale find...

    Hi,

I know near to nothing about EKs etc...

First of all, what is it? And is it real?

I'm not bothered if it's fake because I only paid £5

    Thanks from Jack.

Jack, you did well in a sense!!! Looks to be a nice SOUVAL cross which are bringing a whole lot more than what you gave for this one.

To clarify, this is a "fake". However, in the other thread concerning Souval crosses, George and Dave stated that these in themselves are desireable collector pieces, despite not being an authentic wartime cross.

If I am not mistaken there is a fellow looking for one of these in the wanted ads right now. Just though you should know in case you intend on selling it. It's not me by the way but just figured I'd add this little bit of info just in case.

                      Hi Jack,
It is a Knights Cross (also called RK for ritterkreuz or KC for knights cross) with oak leaves and swords.
                      Best, Sal
