Price of outer cardboard case

How much is the cost of an EK1 outer cardboard case ? as i have just seen this set go on hold on estand for 850 euro's http://dev.wehrmacht-awards.com/foru...d.php?t=532712 , just wondered how much it would be worth witout the outer case

I think, just like crosses, the price of an outer carton depends on the rarity of the maker and the condition.

For example, I have seen a very good condition Gebr. Godet carton alone (marked 1939) sell for €700. Then again I have seen plenty of K&Q EK1s in average condition with case and carton sell for €400.

EK2 Packets are the same. It's hard to give away a Carl Forster & Graf Packet, but you can get a small fortune for a Juncker Packet, for example.

I don't know about Orth cartons, and how rare they are, but cartoned sets are the most desirable to many collectors, and you pay for condition.
