RK with Oak Leaves Swords & Diamonds

    Hi,

O, S & D look bad IMO and I am no expert again far from it! DM or others here will chime in and set me straight! anyone that owned a true set would be sure it was photographed properly unlike these poor photos!!!!

        Kevin,
my thoughts also. When someone drops a name as his source it gave me time for pause I thought maybe the cross was good and the rest for show only.
        cheers Robert

Robert, I edited my post as I am not sure about the cross however first impression is bad! Beading and frame details look off and core date and Swastika are too sharp in a way with date looking a tad thin?
First impressions are more often then not right LOL!!!!!!

From these inadequate photos, the cross appears to be original. The ESB (even with these same poor photos!) are bad.

The RK I agree appears good, an S&L. The OSD not a type recognised as original as far as I am aware, also the case isn't looking good to me either

The OLmSD are for sure not the type which was awarded during the Third Reich. The cross doesn't look too bad.

That is a better way to put it. Not the "award" version.

I agree, the OLS&D do not look like anything close to what is shown in DM's book.
And yes, I do know that you cannot use that book to authenticate such a set, but you can clearly see that this set shown here does not come even a bit close.
I would not shell out the money on this set, unless (maybe) it was priced as a VERY bad repro.
                    They look awefully bad

I strongly doubt that Weitze sold it as original.

The OSD is reproduction and has been available for the past 10 years.

Also, you can find them in "gold" as well.

                            did I make this?

This looks like the ones I created seven (7) years ago?
They are .935 silver and will tarnish beautifully. I have sold at least 200 sets over the years, mostly to dealers.
