    John,

Very nice instant collection and great centerpiece.

I hope you are able to successfully plead with your friend's family to keep this display intact, and not to be tempted to break it up, or sell it to a dealer who may do so.

Maybe you can be lucky to be the caretaker for another few decades. I am sure someone on the forum would be willing and able to do so, and provide the family a fair price.

    Regards,

    Eric

Very cool find, seems like we have seen this exact board before on the forum for sale.

The CCC looks to be an AGMuK or JFS clasp, interesting to see it on a Deumer board from Ludenscheid. Would love to see the maker of the destroyer badge as well and see where that one is from.

      Nice board!

If it doesn't have a hinge and catch, I'm not interested......well, maybe a little

I've got one of these I bought years ago at the SOS. It's being moved right now, but as I recall, it matches this one almost completely, though I think the award at the bottom right is something different on mine, and I can't recall for sure what #10 is, though I think it is a SWB. My #4 is missing, but I was told years ago by a collector that it is almost always a silver MK that goes there just like on this one. If someone will PM me in a couple of weeks, I should have the board here and will take pictures. I also recall that my NKS is a Gablonz made badge, but right now I forget if the destroyer or Spanish Cross is marked or not.

Deumer almost always stuck a black Wound Badge in the #10 spot.

          Nice display board.

.... and here is a Deumer display board that I still own: also with a black Wound Badge in the #10 spot. I also owned another Deumer board that had a black Wound Badge in the #10 spot. And just about every other Deumer board I have seen over the years has had one there also.

              Best regards,
              Tom

                Hi Tom,

Over the years, I have seen quite a few Deumer display boards with a CCC on them. Every one I have seen has been a bronze A.G.M.u.K.

The best way to exam the backs of the pieces (without doing damage to the board) is by using a dental mirror and flashlight. It will allow you to clearly see the markings on the backs of the medals/badges.

                Best regards,
                Tom

BWB in #10 spot on everyone I've seen. I know I will see many ones that have something else now. The board that started this thread has some of the highest end items for one of these boards, your very lucky.

It's very interesting to see confirmation that these boards had a "uniformity" of style and general badge placement. Tends to show how many of certain items must have been around to allow this to be done.

Thanks for everyone's input. I was thinking that it was a Black Wound Badge as well. I am tempted to buy it off of them but do not know what the current price are in order to make them an honest offer. I know they are hurting for money to pay expenses for some medical bills. Can some one PM me what a fair price range would be to offer to them?
                        Thanks,
                        John

Finally got mine unpacked and wanted to post it here. It's a close match to the one that started this thread, but unlike most of the others my #10 is not a BWB. The CCC is AGMuK. I think the Destroyer is unmarked, but give me some time and I'll check with a dental mirror and post the complete findings.

They also put their stempel on the reverse. a couple of times.

Best I can tell on markings is as follows:
                                CCC - AGMuK
Spanish Cross - L/11 not in box
                                EK1 - L/11 in box
Spange (thin round pin) - L/11 in box
                                Todt - unmarked
                                Destroyer - unmarked

Can't tell for sure on the medal rings, but think they're all unmarked.
