The Beauty and the Beast - Petz & Lorenz EK1

I got today this very nice P&L Scew Back EK1.

It cost me a fortune! But because I'm addicted in getting very rare EK1, I must spend the requested 700 Euro. This was the only way to get this rare SB type. And if you compare this price with a Juncker Srew Back, it is still a fair deal

    Hope you like it.

Do you think that the core of the screwback has been repainted?

The colour type looks like it should be. And it make a promising impression that this is the original paint.

          Why did you ask?

If this cross is repainted, the cross would be immediately send back to the seller! I have bought it like you see it on E-Stand.

George, can you argue your question?

IMO the core has the original paint.

I think the cross also has the original paint, as far as I can see from the photos. It's very uncommon to find these at all, and with paint in such good condition I think it is extra special. A very good catch Stefan

I don't have an argument for my question, because I wasn't putting forth an opinion. I just wondered because it's so rare to see a P&L cross with completely intact paint.

                      Stefan,

Certainly a genuine cross. My only concern is that the amount of 'wear' to the reverse finish is not complimented by the same amount of wear on the core.
