ubergrosse WWII EKII and ribbons

I have to wonder, why are most ubergrosse EKIIs offered for sale on estand are missing their ribbons?

In my time, I have owned 4 Übergrosses, and all came with a ribbon.
I think it's just a coincidence that the examples on the E-stand are without ribbon.

Yes, one 25mm and the rest normal.

i just found one with the ribbon sewn closed so it cant be taken off, likely period will have a further look
