    Hello fellas,

Just wanted to show you this very nice marked EKI L/59.
The cross is in excellent condition and have some nice patina on it

Perhaps someone can explane to me why there are 2 dots on the inside of the pin?

    Thanks in advance.

    Gr,

    Jerome

    ..........

Nobody knows for sure what the strange markings are on these L59's.

We have a very active member working on these inspection marks and perhaps he will weigh in here?
Do a search on the maker and there will be a informative thread about the marks and replacement pins that will come up.
Remember Jerome the maker is L59 and not L/59! I was corrected on this point many times early on in my EK collecting LOL!
      Nice Cross!

          Hi Jerome!
Very nice cross! I have one from Rettenmaier-but this is screwback. If you want to know more from Rettenmaier's maker marks, the book from Dietrich Iron Cross 1'st class good reference. And another threads.
The "S" tipycal-I have the "x". I don't know the two dot in the pin(I haven't got the book, only my friend have got).
The little discorolations on the reverse side suggest the repair(maybe by the orig maker?)
But I'm not expert EK collector, another collectors know the best.
          I like it.
