Sorry just one more question, but for me this time : is there a way to determine the authenticity of an EK II ribbon ? Are the fakes perfect ? I only know that some fakes don't glow under UV. I have an about 6 inches long section. I've already done a burn-test and it is not synthetics. Just ashes.

so probably it 's good. please up-load a pic of the ribbon.
color, manufacture (and I use the fire test) determine if original but this is just a method.

Closer view of the ribbon . Is the white a very bright (cold) white ?

Not bright white, I would say very lightly yellowed which is visible on the first picture below :
