I can't see the little hump that the small ring is attached to on the cross on the LW photo. Nor can I say that I see the wooden oakleaves. How can anyone tell?

I know field made RK's are a real minefield (like everything else) but I wouldn't mind adding one with photo evidence or ?? to back it up.
I think they're very cool But that's just me....

Never thought about that. I don't know much about period photos. Can an expert distinguish between a photo taken in 1944, and one taken and developed last year on the same equipment and paper?
