My two war merit medals - question about one ribbon ...

Hi folks,

I bought these two war merit medals recently ... and one ribbon is not original, unfortunately.

can somebody tell me what this ribbon would be for and if both of the medals are correct?

In my opinion both ribbons are correct.

Sometimes they have an orange colour.

I think it was mentioned in one of the threads that the orange coloured ribbons
are an early type.

The ribbon color are correct . ... found with the orangy/yellow or the most common red stripe . The same goes for the KVK 2nd class too . Cannot remember who's this was .

Both ribbons look good to me. If I'm not mistaken, the "orange-ish" ribbons are prized more by collectors than the red ones, or at least they are for the EK2 ribbons.

Ribbon Question

Hi Kev,
Both ribbons are correct and I prefer the orange ribbons (not as common). Check out the color of these two parade mounted War Merit Crosses that I have.
