3x war merit cross w/ swords - any good?

    Hi Folks,

also these would be part of a set - let me know your opinions on those, please.

    Thanks in advance,

    Hi Kevin,

Bottom KVK1 looks like a floch fake. The top KVK1 looks like a late war zinc, the KVK2 looks late war as well. Better pics would help but that's my initial impression.

    Thanks,
    Mike

      I completely agree with Mike.

      Zinc stinks!

        Thanks Mike and Chet!

I had those pieces in my hand ... and if I remember correctly, the KVK1 on the left side was MM4 on the hinge.

I do not remember a MM on the KVK2 ...

The KVK1 on the bottom left side was MM L/11.

I think neither the current owner nor me are going to drive another 3 hours each about these items - so I have to raise this question: what whould be the "risky value" you would go for those two KVKs?

        Thanks again,

        Kevin

          Hi Kev,

I like my pieces to be in better condition. the KVK2 has no finish left. The top KVK1 has about half left. I would wait for better examples to come along. Surf the e-stand for better.

I've got a nice KVK2 Parade mount for sale right now.

          Good Luck,
          Mike

              ... two more:

One has MM4 and the other one has MM L11.

I still appreciate your comments on these!

              Thanks again,

              Kev

I never appreciated zinced-out stuff but that's just me.
I would suggest to be patient-you can find KVKs in much better shape than these relatively easy.

                Just my two pennies

Thanks a lot - and still, this would be my first ones

So I just wanted to understand if they are original period item and if someone could support me with that - what these medals in this condition would be worth.

And I already understood ... not too much!

                  Thanks in advance again,

                  Kevin

the right KVK 1 looks like a floch fake () as it was mentioned above by Mike and Chet

Shoot .... that just came to my mind after I hit the Post-Button, shame on me

... but the left one is original period item, but just not in good condition, right?

                        Hello there,

The S&L piece is original, and marked "4"

The other KvK_1 is indeed a reproduction.
