Hi guys, I thought I would share this repair on the EK1 clasp, carried out by Michael Friedrich. Its superb, and has made this cross whole again. Below is the reverse before repair and the obverse after repair....

Seems a very good job to me too, maybe is it possible to appreciate it better with a close-up ?

Of course! Although I have no plans to sell this one, its a beauty.
The repair has simply made it a fully functional badge again.

I like it, I think it 's not possible to make it better, catch has more or less same shape of the original.

I sent him a photo of an original and he worked to that. It really looks good
I contacted many jewellers but only Michael said he could do it.

May I ask.....is Michael based in UK or Europe....also, was it a reasonable cost?

the repair looks a very close match to the original....very good workmanship!

                              August vacation?

                              Hello!

I sent Michael an EK1 for repair in mid-July, and Michael acknowledged receipt stating it would be about two weeks.

I've sent him a couple emails since and haven't heard back.

Anyone have any contact with him? Perhaps out for August vacation?
