    1. I don't know Hindy's without marks (the first cross) -- but they may exist. However, these are being faked, believe it or not.

    2. I think your 1914 EK2 is just fine. May be maker R.

    3. Looks like a cast copy of a Schenkl "27" but that may be the photos. Will the center black portion with the swastika on it (the core) attract a magnet?
    Best regards,
    Streptile

Looking for ROUND BUTTON 1939 EK1 Spange cases (LDO or PKZ)

The Iron Cross 1939 is a fake, the paint is going up to the frame..
The common EK2 is 3pieces, magnetic core, there's a space between core and frame (you can put a paper there)..

          Hello,

Although that cross does appear to be a repro, from what I can see at the moment, the presence of paint on the frame is not a positive indicator that it's a fake. Period authentic crosses can be found with paint on the frames.

            Hello Missing Some,

Here are lists you may find useful when viewing maker marks on imperial EK.

I am also pretty sure that the 1939 EK2 is a cast copy.
You can clearly see poc marks in the core.
