    DKiS for your review

    Hello,

unfortunately I've fallen in love with these ... so I kept my eyes open and found this one ... what do the experts think?

Mr. Maerz, I really would love to read your statement on this - thank you very much in advance!

      ... and the backside.

Seems in a pretty worn condition to me, so I guess I shouldn't pay too much for it - if it is confirmed to be real.

      Thanks!

From what I can see his is a nice original and early piece. Does it rattle?

          Hello,

          i think is repainted!
Look over the date to the silverplate.
And look around the red ring .
What you can see is silver paint.

I don't think that's paint. It looks to be that old Silver Polish stuff you often find on old medals. It's a liquid and used to remove tarnish. If not all cleaned off, it turns a grayish chalky color.

                Hello,

how can you know from a worn piece like this, that its a silver and not a gold grade?

                  Yes, original.
But it's hard to find that it is early piece as 6 rivets.
Because this version of the cross was awarded in 1943, 1944!!
One explanation to it is The Stock.

There's a few thing that I do find odd about this one.

Is this glue, I can see at the rim of the Swaz?

I have tried to mark 2 spots here in this picture:

I think it is Deschker's feature. We can also find it in the version
of marked 4 rivets DKiS. It also looks like something glued.
original cross, no re-work on that, its ok.

                              Hello,

are you sure , that this is silver polish?
May be but i have never seen the same color like the silver at the Lorbeerkranz.

No worries the cross is original!
But the color looks very strange
and the thing under the swastika?
