Iron centre repainted or in its original finish?

Hi , I have here a very nice EK1 that I recently sold to a collector friend. I was of the oppinion this EK 1 was in its orginal and untouched paint finish exactly as I like them. Anyway I have since found out this ek1 was silver dipped by him to clean the frame which also made a horrible mess of the painted Iron centre removing most of the painted finish. Anyway it was suggested to me by him the centre had been repainted thus why the paint came of so easily.

Here is the EK1 in its original state prior to being silver dipped...to me it looks 100% original finish but I'm know expert just had a fair no' through my hands over the years (sorry I dont have a pic of how it looks now) not that you would want to see it now anyway

I would appreciate you oppinions based on this pic.

That is the K&Q's original finish.

Silver dip is well known to completely ruin EK core paint, and since the frame is not silver anyway, it is of no practical use.
