      Hello there,

It is original, as I stated here:

      http://wehrmacht-awards.com/forums/s...d.php?t=515814

I do NOT think it is worth 1500euro.

Does anyone know the rarity of this item? Or more information? I also have a belt buckle and silver assault badge with L/51 on the back of it.

Was cleaning out gpops closet. He was also in war so i think these items are pretty cool and must be interesting history behind it.

I do not know what price these sell for currently. I seem to recall silver award grade types selling for about that. I could well be wrong. That may be what dealers ask for them and they don't sell. If they are cheaper I am more than pleased as I could afford more of them!

While I know a few of you have commented on this cross’ authenticity already, where I’m now in possession of the grouping below, I thought I would try my hand at better photos.

While I know folks have a tendency to to say leave things alone, given the dark patina on the present piece, can I hear some feedback on whether cleaning this up a bit might not be an okay thing to do?

                  Thanx, Rick

                        Rick,

I would not clean it, leave the patina on her; she looks amazing.

                        Congratulations on your new acquisitions.

Thanx guys. This is my first and likely only Spanish Cross, unless I find one on the street, left behind by a homeless collector OR I'm able to locate a few of those "green shoots" the DC crowd tells us are effecting the economy.

I'm grateful I was able to stumble across, what I considered, a 'reasonable' one.

                            Thanx to everyone! Rick
