There will be an auction in July, the 8th and the 9th.

Can you see the chipped paint in core of the cross in the picture?

                  .

Maybe there been used some photoshop too make the medal look better on the photo??? or the paint could have been lost after the photo where taken... or else yes it do not seem like the same cross

These two RK doesn't seems to match to closely IMO.

I have made a comparison of the two Swaz's here:

The original pictures are taken 12 years apart. There was some light flaking of the paint from the core over the years. I owned this set for many years and they are absolutely the same set. There was even a slight ding on the beading on the 9 o'clock arm that appears in both pictures that is hard to see from the scans. I no longer own the piece or I would post new pictures. I did not post the pictures in order to start a discussion, there is absolutely no doubt it is the same cross. Sorry I can not add any more to this thread other than you are looking at Dickfeld's original RK&EL. I am no longer the owner. If you need more proof look at Dietrich Maerx's article in his new magazine. He did a whole story on this piece.

I seldom post on this forum for many reasons, so perhaps Dietrich's opinion might have more influence on you. As I said I have no horse in this race.

                              Most

Most be the light on the photo seems very possible. But seen the 2 pics... only.. they do not seem the same... but can accept that it is the same cross, when you are a past owner... that is good enough for me

I have no horse in this race either!

Is this the Dent in the 9 o'clock arm are you are talking about?
