    About unknown maker items

We all know that there are quite a few EKs or Spanges whose makers are unknown so far. My question is, if the maker of an item is even Unknown, how could we confirm it is original? Because it has good details? or its manufacturing style seems period? or a same one ever showed in a period photo (might be the most convincing reason)...

Any thoughts of you on this?

Some of those unknown itmes comes with pretty solid provenance.
That is why it is possible to authenticate the items.

Good details doesnt mean that it's an original as we're had repros that have far better details than the original pieces.

I would stick to using those with provenance or from photos as a point of reference.
