Yes, Lt dR Otto Engel got his KC late - on February, 28th, 1945.

But it is a Klein&Quenzer KC without the "3 dots"...

His Kampfgeschwader 53 "Legion Condor" fought against Russia and Great Britain, he did some missions with the V1 on He111 bombers against England in 1944.

I got his KC and one original picture of him with KC - does anybody know who owns the other parts (photo album, honor goblet, ...)?

Well, as You wrote: I had some problems, yes. I had to sell and will sell a lot (perhaps on the E-Stand).
But we should not discuss this here in this thread...

Yes, thats a very sad story about the Engel estate. The family sold this complete. Only a few time later the complete estate was destroyed by 2 well known german collectors ! The honor goblet was sold in militaria 321.com and so one ! One german collector was cleaning the honor goblet very clean that he make more money for sale ! The original one was with fine patina . After that the goblet was shining ! I remember that one of this collector who do this was a member of the forum here !

It would be great if I would know the new owner of the photoalbum, so maybe I could get copies of the pictures.

As far as I know the whole Engel convolute was for sale but nobody wanted to pay the amount of money and so the items were sold one by one...

We are always blaming others because they destroy groupings - but is there a solution to avoid this? If a collector needs money (urgent maybe) and wants to sell a whole group but nobody is able or willing to pay the amount he is forced to split... I understand this also.

It is like it is now. Sad but irrecoverable.

"Fraederich, Textilhaus, Amelinghausen" (hard to read)
