                          stefan, it is not rare, but the regular mark is far more common
                          Most S&H crosses have an L/54 mark, so far I had only seen this mark on PB ek's and the early SB with disc and screw.

                            Interesting L54 mark .... Ben .
                            Wounder if they started out - with out - the slash and added it later to follow the others . The odd guys out were L 55 and L 59 .

                              Interesting indeed Douglas.

                              That is what I thought at first: starting without a slash, and adding one later.
                              But that isn't the case.
                              I will post a shot of the " evolution" of the mark later today.
