Andy: The basic cross is good, there seems to be some repair on the enamel in the middle (or just damage).

Oberfeldwebel Gerhard Beinlich (7./Infanterie-Regiment 51) was awarded the DKIG April 2nd, 1942. So at least it's correct.

At least that's IMO. I'm sitting here with a DKIG by Juncker in hand and they seem identical. Except for the backside, mine appears a bit more "polished". Might be cleaned.

It sure does looks like the enemal has taken some damage.
Maybe someone tried to repair/paint the affected areas of the enemal?

                      /Flemming

PS I do not like the look of the engraving either.

The enamel swaz. from this maker is fragile and known for chipping and flaking. Almost more unusal to see one from him that is undamaged. in this regard.

That is exactly true. I like the engraving, too.

                              Nice cross.
