It's nothing to worry about, moth nips are common on these. These moth nips were also described in my original sales thread that is still up. "Very nice DKIG on Heer Cloth. Gold wreath shines bright with it's cloth backing intact. Some moth nips to the back round but a sweet DKIG to be sure. The 9 has the proper die flaw, $395"
That's why the price was $395 and not the +$600 like these usually go for in mint condition.
It's a beauty none the less. If I didn't have to pay some bills it would still be in my collection.
Thanks
Mike

Heres mine to compare you asked about.
Look closely around the edges and youll see the mothing on mine. This one was mint when i found it , but i didnt store it properly, and the silverfish or the moths got it when it was in a trunk years ago. I have since changed how i store cloth items.
Just like condition on many items , one has to have a good eye to know what you are buyings condition is: poor/ vg /excellent /or minty. You will no doubt upgrade someday...so i think its a great lesson, and serve you well in the future , as thats how we all learn....is ... to pay close attention, and sometimes wait for a better condition version out of the gate, then no need to upgrade, unless its an actually worn item , thern they are usually more to show wear than minty non worn examples..Last edited by juoneen; 06-30-2011, 12:11 AM.

I know that my cloth one's are not minty, but you find also very worse shaped ones, so for that pricing I think they are about right. Would you agree?
Other than that, can you please explain how you store your cloth items now? That would be really of interest for me!
Thanks in advance,
Kevin
PS: are you going to sell your cloth one
