EK1 help

Hi guys, a friend has this EK1 but I don't have the knowledge to help him and would appreciate you having a look at the photos for us, there is a small loop on the frame at the top where one would find the attatchment spot for an EK2 and the pin has a mark stamped into it, but it failed to register properly.
Any help on this one gratefully recieved.
