EKII Ribbon Wider Black & White Bars?

On the main site ribbon bar article http://dev.wehrmacht-awards.com/related/ribbons/ww2.htm there's a ribbon bar shown that says it's "an early war variation of the new 1939 Iron Cross second class ribbon" with "out of proportion wide white and black edges ..."

Is that what I'm seeing in this photo?

    Thanks,
    Greg

    Hi Greg,

I can see two ribbons- Iron Cross 1939 and Russian Front Medal ribbons.

    Kind regards
    Pierce

I think, yes, you are seeing one of the ribbons described in that article as "early," but I don't know why it would be early. The article you cite doesn't provide any evidence to support that assertion. It may be true, I don't know.

Thanks much ... I was just citing the information that's on the main WA site. I don't know who wrote it, or what references they used for the information. The EKII ribbon in the photo just seemed to have wider black and white stripes than normal.

        Thanks,
        Greg
