    Cased EK1 for opinions, please

    Gents:

I would appreciate any thoughts/opinions on this cased EK1. I do not have it in hand, so if it has a MM, I am unaware of it.

    Thanks for any replies.

    Best regards,

    Kent G.

Looks like a very nice Meybauer.

Unless it was nighttime, or the weather was bad, and you were running out of gas - then it was a sweaty nightmare, like a monkey f*ing a skunk.

In my opinion an original EK1 by maker 23 (Arbeitsgemeinschaft für Heeresbedarf in der Graveur- und Ziselierinnung) and an original case.

Then I defer to Trevor - he's sharper at the fine points of EK's than I am!

                  Thanks Hank!

Nice of you to say, but this time it really is an opinion, not a fact. HERE is a thread on the type.

The cased EK1 just arrived, and there is no maker mark. It is my first cased award (second EK1), and now the nicest piece in my (small) collection. Thanks for all the help.

                      Regards,
                      Kent G.

                        For Trevor:
It does have the "23 Bead"- so your judgment was dead-on.
                        Thanks.
