Unmarked EK2 with non magnetic iron core. maker 100?

    Gentlemen,

before moving this EK2 to the e-stand i would be happy to hear your opinions and comments about this unsual ek2. It is unmarked and has a non magnetic iron core. i think it is zinc iron core......although it is not marked i consider it was made by Waechtler and Lange.

    any comments are welcome.......thanks.......

As Peter and George Pointed out to me some time ago there is a usual smushing in the rim beading on the 12 O'clock arm at the base that every one of my 12 Waechtler and Lange EK2's has. Alex was nice enough to email me a picture of this cross before he posted it here and upon further inspection it looks very similar to my other mm100's with the exception of the rim beading. If this smushing effect on the rim beading is a die flaw, could the lack of the rim beading smushing on the above listed cross suggest an early production run???

As some of you know I am very interrested in Waechtler and Lange as an EK2 Maker so I I will be following this thread closely.

Thanks to Jazz (Alex) for posting this one! He always seems to find the real choice pieces.

Anyway, this is a very nice cross indeed. Look at all those fine materials used.

        Cheers.

          Dear Alex,

A very nice cross, but I think it is not a Wächtler & Lange. There are too many differences. The hump alone does not make the connection for me. Most earlier crosses (like round threes) have a hump on top of the frame. Anyway, a very nice and rare cross!
          Cheers, Frank

            I agree with Frank. It's not a W&L.
