    EK2 Bar on the estand

    Hello all...

    Regarding this EK2 bar on the estand (bar no. 2),
    IMO, the EK looks like the so-called "Stuttgart fake",
    What are your thoughts?

    Regards - Danny

      I noticed it has Souval frame lines in corners, but did not remember it is also connected with stuttgart fake. Ah

        So the bar is a modern put together.

          I noticed the corner detail too, but without the real "chicken feet".
          Not a good cross.

          regards John

            On back part of the bar we can see that it was opened unfortunately to replace the orginal cross with this fake..

                I feel myself 100% sure, date is known and already seen on other fakes too.

                  To me there is no question.
                  • They began to appear in great number within the past 5 years, but were never seen before;
                  • They appear as EK1s with obviously fake pins that match nothing original from the period;
                  • They are found with different marks, none of them matching legitimate maker's marks;
                  • They are sold by known fake-pushers;
                  • They are not sold by reputable dealers.
                  Best regards,

                    I was the one selling the bar originally...as with the first thread on this, it was pretty clear the cross is not original and the sale was pulled.

                    Bought a few years ago in ignorance by me and I am not afraid to admit I made a mistake and would not want to pass it along as original.

                    Not wanting to be marked as a ' fake pusher ' I just wanted this fact to be known.

                    I will probably sell it off in the bazaar section.

                    Thanks,

                    Glen

                      Nothing against you -- we all saw you pulled it immediately. Thanks
