    Juncker Family

Hey all. I've always loved Juncker crosses. Imagine my excitement when I had the chance to snag some nice ones up

There has been some debate as to what each Juncker is (what style, that is)
but for the sake of argument, I will post each cross as the Juncker style they were described as when sold to me.

Input, even if it suggests a different style, is always welcome. I am very pleased with these crosses, all of which has some nice character. I do admit however, the Full Juncker (last cross I am posting) is an absolute sweetheart, IMO!

I had a Juncker on a 2 place bar, a non mag piece, for a while now. This was my only TR era Juncker, here are the pics of that one:

    W&L core

This one has a real nice patina with that nice frosting still present. It's a Juncker with W&L core or a "half Juncker", if I recall. Really like the contrast of the frosting and patina on the frame. A real winner

      Juncker Schinkel

This one was listed as a Juncker Schinkel. I have had some keen insight that they are not so sure, but it is a Juncker, that is not disputed! A little minor paint loss to the rear and swaz add some character to this one!

        Juncker 2nd core

This one was listed as a 2nd core, with the teardrop 9s. I got this one as a 2nd thought and am glad I did, it looks REALLY great in hand. Exceptional look, still some nice frosting and an all around looker!

          Full Juncker

This one is the "gem" of the group, IMO. The patina is excellent and the core is nice and clean. It is a Full Juncker and has probably vaulted to the top of my favorite TR crosses in my collection. I can't say enough about this one. It is a real baby doll!

So these are my newest additions to my growing Juncker family. Here is a pic with all 5 TR era Junckers I have now. Really great bunch. Any and all input is welcome! Thanks for looking.

P.S. here is a pick of the entire family and a full front pic of the juncker non-mag 2 place bar

              Very nice ones Ryan.

They all have Juncker's famous "crunch-bead" frame, with two beads crunched close together (thus none of them is a Schinkel type, with leftover WWI-era frames). The cores are nice variations, and the non-magnetic ones are indeed the cores most often found in the Juncker Schinkel type. In my opinion this non-magnetic core is by far Juncker's nicest core.

Congratulations on some very nice Junckers.
              Best regards,

                Thanks Trev!

I did notice they all have that frame. Kinda sad about that, but as you said the cores are a bit different.

On the pouch that was used to ship the cross (each individually bagged) the one that had been listed as a schinkel juncker had written on the package "Juncker wide-frame, schinkel core".

Obviously after looking at the frames, they are all the same but I am unsure of the particular core type that is referred to...is that part correct or which core is that one?

Remove the comma and it's correct.

                    Thanks Trevor.

So does that mean this was Juncker's first core, or because the die is seperate from the Imperial, because of the swaz, it's completely different and has no bearing? The teardrop 9s is something used to confirm a Juncker core, correct? I thought I had read there were 2 tear drop 9 cores. Or perhaps I misunderstood and there were 2 cores, one of which was the tear drop 9?

In your Imperial posts you have a great hypothesis of what cores came early vs late. I guess I am wondering if Juncker TR cores have been at all narrowed, or if there is also a solid hypothesis behind them, just as the frames have the distinction of being the "3 flaw", "Long flaw", and "crunch bead".

Don't worry bud, you've been scooping up the ubergrosse crosses and such lol. I had my first Round 3 and Ubergrosse before I had my first Juncker! Can't wait to see the pics of your Juncker bar!
