W/l crosses

I love both W/L and Juncker..But one has to see mint Junckers to appreciate their quality!

AndyC : nice group of W&L crosses . One thing to mention - # 77-front/# 88 reverse is of a Juncker EK2 .

Here are my contribution to the thread.



Better late than never. I had my collection at home this weekend, so I made a few pics of my W&L crosses.

The two cased EK2's are marked L55. The seven other EK2's are marked 100.
The two EK1's are unmarked with non-magnetic core. One with outer carton.

People collect for differnt reasons or certain appearance .... I look more for variations and a few I have come across with this maker .
The hard to find coin silver 1st frame with white frosting and thick flat paint and brass core .

As nice as their frosting type is ... there are noticeable differences over production time with them ... from white to off white and a tan-white . Tick rings and thin rings .... So are differences in paint as these show - flat and very smooth black back ground paint and low sheen Swas and date touch up .
Left heavy full frosting and right thin full frosting .... with change in composition influencing frosting color .

Others have a unform rough textured core paint with frosted beading and polished frame edge and large ribbon ring .

Some marked on the ribbon ring with 100 and other not marked at alll ....and some on the frame with L55 . ...quit polished over and with the glare not easy to see like others .
