Hi guys
I have just purchased two EK11's from Jazz through e-stand one being marked 40 and the other an unmarked 24.
I have no doubts about these crosses being genuine, my questions are as follows
Is there a list of makers numbers and names available.
What crosses are regarded as being rare / highly sought after, i.e. makers numbers.
How is it known that unmarked wide frame crosses are unmarked 24's.
Please excuse my ignorance, but I intend getting back into collecting Third Reich awards again having sold my collection some years ago.
One of the reasons I sold it was that as I gained what little knowledge I have I found that several of the items were fake ( I sold the fake ones as fakes ) and yes there was a 333 marked EK11 that I had bought from a highly respected dealer in the U.K.
The amount of and the quality of fakes out there is frightening. Its enough to put anyone off getting into this area of collecting
I have orderd Gordon Williamsons Iron Cross book and am waiting delivery
