      eMedals unmarked Spange

Looking through spanges, the closet thing that I could find was this guy from eMedals. The hinge looks similar, but the clasp looks a tad different.

I cant say yours is good or not, I am just starting to learn about them, so in the future if I find one at the antique place I can tell if its bad or good.

the 1st has a distinct hooked beak, quite different

          a weird L/11? a repro based on an L/11?
          I'm stumped, anyone else?
          regards

            Spange

Based on the left wing (from back) I would say a raptor. I think we discussed this one before (last year). Jim

My first thought was a good L/11 with too much hand-finishing. But I really don't know. I think it's a new fake; it's no Floch, and no Raptor.

I was thinking more like a refinished Raptor?
The right claw, when viewed, looks a bit "cut off".

Well to me its a "lookalike" Mayer and not for my collection
I have a good Mayer and this dont match mine

To me it doesn't look anything like a Raptor, or a Mayer. It's closest to a Deumer or an S&L, but not close enough...

I posted a similar clasp last year, it was deemed fake.
So I decided to skip it.

If memory serves me well jon, you were one of yje memners that ....
