I posted this last year and it was a probable with some dubious thoughts, 'iffy' in our English household diction.
On a recent trip to Germany I compared it with another example of an L 53 in Frank H's collection and it matches the traits of an L 53 1st Cl.KVK The only difference was the pin, on observation it was 'concluded' that the finish on the pin was consistant to the badge and there were no visible signs of the pin being a replacement.
So here we have a variation on pin type on one maker type of KVK ? Not any real revelation but I thought you may be interested and the to all intents and purposes the badge is genuine.
Thanks for taking the time to look,
Kind regards,
Marcus
You'll notice the style is rather like that off a Luft spange, Heer CCC and Naval CCC of certain makers and variants.
