Aside from the fact that the cross and the certificate are fake, I feel it is a bad state of affairs when so much trust is put into a 'certification of authenticity', be it from Detlev or anyone else.

In the past I have been insulted because I pointed out a very obvious fake cross. I was informed that it came from a 'reputable and extremely knowledgeable dealer' who knew far more than I could ever hope to. Well the cross was a bad fake and I stood my ground, but it showed me that there are collectors out there that post items for discussion but will not accept anything but what they want to hear.

I am not saying that Blizge is of the same ilk, but as members here have stated, when one is considering a potential and expensive purchase, a lot of research on your own part is essential. DO NOT place so much belief in a COA.... remember, these are a heck of a lot easier to fake than the medals themselves but yet we see countless people being taken in by them.
