Is this a Third Reich period case? Would it make sense to pair it with a #20 EK 1?

I have to concur with the comments here made by everyone, definitely an Imperial EK case. Looking at the impressions made in the bottom of the case by the EK it was sitting in the case upside down and had a wide pin, which are found on Godet pieces. Other manufactures did use this style of hinge also. A very nice case and not easy to find in this condition. <O
