      Maybe I'm little bit careful, due to a have bought a wrong Schinkel and every time I see the upper hinge plate contour closing with the back plate I'm skeptic.

        Hi Stefan,

        You're right that there exists a fake pin setup that is very close to this one. It does take a lot of practice and a very keen eye to separate them. I can understand how you would be very skeptical until you learn really to distinguish them.

        One hint is that the pin system shown on the real Schinkel shown in this thread is used only on one-piece Schickles (not counting 1914 EKs). Most of the fake pin systems that resemble it (like the one you show) are used on three-piece fakes.

          @ stefan: Trevor sums it up pretty well.

          But if you don't trust your own judgment, do a forum-search.
          There are plenty of pictures of one-piece schinkels to compare with, it makes it more easy to separate the good from the bad
